Sun Louvres

Cantilever Louvres Cantilevered Awnings are the modern sleek design of today’s passive louvre systems. The Cantilever relies on a specially designed welded bracket. The bracket is a welded 6mm angle plate that has been cut on a rake to create a more appealing look. The rear of the angle is a 10mm base plate, which is the fixing point. This size of the base plate will depend on the projection of the awning. The bigger the projection, the bigger the base plate. The slats can be either the 75mm x 16mm RHS slat or the 85mm eliptical slat. You can choose any colour. Special attention must be applied to the size of the base plate to determine of this awning design can suit your application. Arm supported Louvres and Awnings Arm Supported Louvre Awnings are simply a variation to our cantilevered style. The louvre panel is attached at the rear to a 50mm angle. The awning is then supported by 38mm x 25mm RHS arms using the standard CARBOLITE awning brackets. The arms can be attached either below OR above the awning. The advantages of an arm supported awning (compared to the cantilever) are two fold. Firstly, the awnings can be set at angles as the fixing allows this to happen. This is great news for people with western facing windows and doors. The cost of these awnings is considerably lower as the arm fixing is a cheaper alternative. The louvre panels can be either 65mm RHS slat or 85mm eliptical slat. Both slats are set at 57 degrees.
